General Questions
Who is eligible to attend the event?
Stodola is an event for people 15 years of age and up. Anyone under the age of 15 is not allowed to attend.
Is this event suitable for children?
No, everyone must be at least 15 years old. Attendees between the ages of 15 and 17 may attend only after presenting a valid written consent signed by their legal guardian.
Is registration mandatory?
Yes. Registration into the online system and paying the registration fee, which covers the cost of hosting the event, is mandatory.
Do I have to pay to attend the event?
Yes. The event could not be hosted withoutmandatory registration fee.
What if I registered for the event but cannot attend it?
Registration can be in this case transferred to a different attendee.
Registration fee is non-refundable. Transferring the registration is based on a mutual agreement between two individuals and must be announced to the organiters.
Event organizers do not provide any financial transfers.
Individuals who have been denied registration by the organizers may not be the recipients of a transferred registration.
Some sponsor gifts are non-transferrable.
Registration transfers are subject to registration deadlines.
Are there any rules for how attendees should behave?
Yes. All attendees must follow rules in order to create a safe, relaxing, and a fun space for everyone.
What does the registration include?
By paying the registration fee, you will be given (more info here):
- access to the event,
- identification badge,
- access to all scheduled activities,
- should you include a sponsor donation, bonuses included in its tiers,
- the option to use the location's amenities (cloakroom, Headless Lounge, photo booth, etc.).
What is the Headless Lounge?
Headless Lounge, sometimes called "Fursuit Lounge" other events, is an area dedicated for fursuiters, allowing them to change to and from their suit and to dry it, You can also find water with sugar and vitamin / mineral tablets.
Due to room constraints, please do not stay at he Headless Lounge for prolonged amonts of time.
A separate Headless Lounge will also be available at the main hall, but due to the lack of electrical sockets, drying suits will not be an option there.
Can I pay there by card?
Cash is a preferred means of payment at the event.
- Artists at the Artist Alley may offer payment by card, but it is not mandatory to offer such an option.
- Restaurant Cobolis offers card payment, but drinks at the bar are primarily paid in cash.
- The bar at our event only accepts cash.
- There are many ATMs near the event grounds (see the map here).
Can I bring my own food and drinks?
We do not recommend bringing your own refreshments due to hygienic concerns.
- We are partnered with Restaurant Cobolis for this year's event, offering many options for food and drinks.
- draught and mixed drinks will be available at the event ground's bar.
- Finger foods will be available at the cloakroom.
- In case you have any specific dietary and health requirements, please let us know, we will do our best to meet your needs.
The full menu will become avaiable 3 moths before the start of the event at the latest.
Cash is always the preferred payment option.
Will there be any AC ?
Not this year. from our past experience, its effects are greatly diminished in an area with many people moving about. There is a HVAC system at the house of culture, feeding the main hall with cool air from the basement. We will also be bring ventilation and cooling fans, together with a drying system for the Headless Lounge.
Other questions
Is it okay to only attend some of the activities?
Yes, it is fully up to you which of the scheduled activities you will attend. Being present during the whole event is not mandatory.
What kind of activities can I expect at the event?
You can expect a schedule filled to the brim with fun activities, such as ice breaking games, minigames, costume competition, dance battle, musical performances, nad DJ sets.
How long does the event last?
Detailed schedule of the event will be released in the future.
Are there any safety services at the venue?
We will have a first-aid medic and a security team on-site at all times. They're there for you, so let them know if you need any help!
Is there any cloakroom or lockers where I can keep my things?
Yes, there is a cloakroom at the event ground. Please be aware that there is a limited amount of space, thus if we start running out of it, service might take more time.
You will be handed an identifying tag, which you will return to us in case you want to pick up your items.
We do not recommend keeping valuable items in the cloakroom. We are not responsible for them in case of their loss or theft.
Are there any restrooms and showers at the venue?
Yes, there are restrooms for attendees on the ground floor. They a bit far from the Headless Lounge, so please keep that in mind in case you would like to use it.
There are changing rooms and showers available for performers.
Are the organizers going to be present at the event?
Yes, they will be present for the whole duration of the event, together with volunteers, ensuring everything goes smoothly.
How can I can get in touch with organizers?
You can identify them at the event by their red badge lanyard.
Is there free parking?
Ne. While there are parking spots around the venue, most of them fall under Prague's rules of public parking. We recommend parking at P+R Letňany and getting to the venue by mass transit.
How many attendees do you expect at the event?
We estimate that around 300 people will attend the event.
What if I have special needs?
Any special / medical needs (such as allergies, diabetes, epilepsy, asthma, etc.), should be announced to the organizers before the start of the event
This also includes:
- the need of regular administration of medicaments,
- specific reactions you might have to anything,
- any other disabilities or limitations that you might need help with from us.
Is it alright if I'm new to the fandom?
Yes! Anyone interested can attend the event, be it furry veterans or people who just started to be interested in the community. We plan our activities to create a welcoming and relaxing atmosphere for all attendees.
Do I need a fursuit to attend the event?
No, it is not mandatory to bring a fursuit to attend.
Can I bring my pet with me?
No, animals are forbidden for multiple reasons:
- allergies of other attendees,
- hygiene,
- noisy environment of the event,
- many stairways and people present.
Can I connect to Wi-Fi and charge my devices at the event?
We recommend binging a power bank as we cannot ensure that every attendee will be provided an electrical outlet to use.
LTE/5G are functional around the event grounds but we will most likely not be providing a free Wi-Fi service at the building.
Taking pictures and videos at the event
Are there any limits to what I can film / shoot?
Taking pictures is generally not prohibited at the event.
In case you want to record sound or make videos / short movies from the event, please get in touch with us first. They are otherwise not allowed.
Please follow these rules concerning photography:
- no photos at the cloakroom and Headless Lounge,
- no photos of suiters without the head of their suit on, unless you have their direct permission,
- no photos of other attendees without their direct permissions or photos that might show them and the event in a bad light,
- no photos at the Artists Alley, unless you have the direct permission of the artist you're taking pictures of and their work.
